Agenda
- Differences between BIFMA x5.1 2011 and 2017
- What impact does the new version have on products?
- Q&A
Since 1974, when the first office furniture standard was published by BIFMA, it has undergone several revisions. The most recent, BIFMA X5.1 2017, comes after years of work by the subcommittee group to process updates to the standard in response to the fact that the weight of the US population has continued to increase.
For this latest revision, current anthropometric data shows that the 95th percentile male user now weighs close to 275 lbs. Therefore, 275 lbs is being used as the basis for some of the changes within this version of the standard.
But what is the impact of these modifications on your products? SGS would like to present you an experience feedback to support you on your development or purchase of Office Chair according to the new version of the standard.
As BIFMA is a global service, we are offering two sessions, one in Asia in Chinese with a native Chinese speaker and a second in the US with a native English speaking presenter.
