Course Overview

This course is suitable for buyers, technologists and QA team members to increase their understanding of textile testing. The course covers what is a textile, how raw materials are used and how textile materials are manufactured. We investigate how textile products and materials are evaluated by testing, giving an insight in to the most common tests available and qualifies this by explaining ‘Why’ we test, ‘When’ we test and ‘What’ we test. Finally how cloth is specified, the systems of specification and methods of measurement are described.

We encourage delegates to bring samples along for discussion during the day; this always introduces a level of spontaneity to the discourse and makes it that much more interesting for all concerned.
